Alokbartika Sangha

Established under the patronage of Principal Shah Md Shafiqul Islam Shah Shaheb, with the initiative of the Ujanijora Darbar Sharif, Debidwar, Cumilla, Alokbortika Sangha aims to develop an enlightened life for young boys and girls aged between 10–30, creating awareness in all aspects of life.

Founding Date: 04/10/2011
On October 4, 2011, the first meeting was held to raise awareness among young people in various areas of life, with the following attendees:

In coordination with the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, a second meeting on November 4, 2011, was held to establish a bank account, name the organization, and form a committee to pursue the following goals and objectives.

Goals and Objectives

Raise awareness to prevent child marriage, dowry, sexual harassment, and violence against women
Eradicate existing superstitions
Stop child labor and provide education for working children
Educate children and youth on nutrition
Develop social and religious values
Organize sports and entertainment events
Foster civic awareness through discussions on literature, culture, history, and heritage
Promote drug rehabilitation, counter-terrorism, and health awareness

Activities

2011: Launched initiatives like free education and literacy centers and a tree-planting campaign
2012: Decided to celebrate national days (e.g., International Mother Language Day, Independence Day, Pohela Boishakh, Victory Day)
2012 Education Conference: Increased membership, organized community aid for education, book distribution, and road repairs

“I solemnly swear that each of us will strive to be a good and honest person in our own place and encourage others to do the same. We will dedicate ourselves to the service of humanity and the creation, working for the welfare of all. As a beacon of light (Alokbartika), we will devote ourselves to the interests of the country and the nation. O Almighty, grant us the strength to rise above all superstitions and abide by the laws and regulations of the country, fulfilling the goals and objectives of Alokbortika Sangha.”

In recognition of its continued activities, including free education, tree planting, blood donation, and public service, the Ministry of Social Welfare of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh officially registered Alokbortika Sangha on November 4, 2021.
